Homeschooling is, at it's a core, an interactive endeavor, where parents are aware of their children's strengths, gaps, needs, and gifts. At LOA, that parent-child relationship is a hallmark of our educational offerings. The primary educating parent will agree to:
God has designed parents to be the spiritual leaders of their children. We will do our best to come alongside of you in the discipling them, but the foundation begins with you. If you are a new believer and need help in how to do this at home, we are here to help you!
Participate in Charlotte Mason education training sessions twice per month.
Observe in the classroom to see the implementation of the Charlotte Mason method first hand. In order for your children to obtain the greatest academic benefit, the Mason method should be continued during your three days at home so that there is fluidity in both materials and in execution, contributing to the overall atmosphere of your homeschool.
Assist in field trips and outings as needed
Both parents will attend required parent meetings (~2 per year). These will be scheduled at least three months in advance.
